Come and stay in one of our beautiful self contained, self catering holiday cottages by the beach at Putsborough, North Devon.
Only 500 yards from Putsborough Sands, one of the finest award winning golden sandy beaches in the country. Putsborough Sands is located at the southern end of Woolacombe beach and only a mile or so from Croyde Bay, our beaches offer some of the finest surfing in the South West.
North Devon is one of the country’s top destinations for holidays at any time of year. With good access to the area provided by a dual carriageway joining the M5 from Junction 27 and a ring road and new bridge at Barnstaple, it has never been easier to get to Putsborough Manor holiday cottages in North Devon.
The popular surfing meccas of Croyde beach and Saunton Sands are very close by and within a few minute’s drive, there is a path/bridal way to Croyde approx 3/4 mile. Woolacombe is also close by, either a couple of minutes drive or a leisurely walk along the beach.

Our beautiful picturesque brand new stone and slate cottage has been finished to a very high specification with an eco friendly air source heating system providing underfloor heating throughout and plentiful eco hot water. Like our Manor Cottage the location is excellent, a few minutes from the beach surrounded by your very own fantastic walled garden, former kitchen garden to the Grade II cob and thatched Putsborough Manor, which is a plantsmans delight. There is a private path to the highly acclaimed blue flag beach of Putsborough/Woolacombe and use of the private tennis court for the energetic!
Putsborough is a beautifully unspoilt hamlet of listed buildings in an area of outstanding natural beauty surrounded by National Trust land with breathtaking views and numerous walks . The popular surfing meccas of Croyde and Saunton Sands are a few minute’s drive away, there is a green lane to Croyde approx 3/4 mile. There are superb walks, especially along the coastline – much of which is owned by the National Trust. There are castles and grand houses to visit, there are country towns and pastel coloured fishing villages to discover. There are plenty of activities at any time of year.
Local activities include excellent golf courses, horse riding, boat/fishing hire, clay pigeon shooting at the renowned South West Shooting Club, Lundy Island ferry trips from Ilfracombe, several adventure/children parks nearby, and National Trust properties to visit. “My wife and I stayed at the Manor Barn for a short break in December with our dog. The Barn is very well appointed and a lovely place to come 'home' too after a walk, we thoroughly enjoyed it and especially liked the spa bath! The nearby beach is one of our favourites a couple of miles of sand backed by dunes, there are other great walks down the coastal path too. There are a few great local devon pubs, great food, and roaring fires - perfect...”
