Holidays in Cumbria - Dog Friendly Cottages in Alston, Cumbria

Our 2 cottages are set high in the North Pennines AONB and UNESCO Geopark near the border of the Lake District, Northumberland & Hadrian’s Wall, Weardale Valley and the Yorkshire Dales. Both have fully enclosed and secure gardens for dogs. We have a range of options, for those who prefer to have a go at off the grid & traditional style living (but have a modern backup) Cranmore House is perfect with its open fire, woodburning Aga Rayburn stove & a multifuel burner available for romantic nights & comfort cooking.

For those of you who prefer to have a cosy stone cottage with stylish decor, Camellia Cottage is the one for you. Still with an option of a log burner for those chilly nights, Camellia Cottage is equipped with a modern granite kitchen with gloss units, a modern bathroom and a wet room  with shower on the ground floor. It also has a ground floor bedroom for those with limited mobility.

Both cottages accept dogs. Cranmore is very suitable for unlimited dogs, whereas Camellia is fully carpeted so suits up to 2 well behaved dogs. Both are close to each other (gardens are side to side but they are not adjoined).
